China, Yunnan province, Baoshan mountain. In ancient times this agate was called Red Nephrite for its similar visual qualities: deep inner lustre and oiliness.

The bracelet has been authenticated by a gemmologist. In the Celestial Empire red is a symbol of luck, wealth and prosperity.
