Yixing Teapot Shí Ruì 'Màozǐ', 130 ml

Handmade teapot from the rare yixing red-brown clay Hóng Jiāng Pō. This clay was discovered by chance during road construction between Dingshan and Yixing: a natural mixture of three base yixing clays — Zǐ, Hóng and Duàn Ní. Classic form Màozǐ — 'Hat'.

Madame Shí Ruì's teapots are elegant and restrained. Her titles: Outstanding Young Ceramic Artist, Assistant Master of State Significance, Member of the Chinese Society of Arts and Crafts, Member of the Yixing Purple Clay Producers' Association.

130 ml capacity is designed for two or three people. Strainer basket. Perfectly fitted lid. Medium-thick wall. Very fast powerful even pour. Seal on the inner wall. The clay is highly porous and seasons beautifully.
